After four days of end-of-year exams, the 2024 class of the Diploma in Ethology and Equine Sciences has completed their training! Our students can now enjoy a well-deserved vacation.
Whether they are professionals in the horse industry or enthusiasts wishing to deepen their knowledge, this year was marked by enriching exchanges and unforgettable experiences.
Congratulations on this great year!
The knowledge of expert researchers, veterinarians, agronomists, ethologists… During their training, the students were able to deepen their knowledge in the light of the latest research on equine ethology, which will be essential to optimize their management of horses.
At the end of 8 and a half months of online training rich in exchanges which made it possible to create a real community, the students spent 2 days at La Cense to put it into practice in the field. Oobservation of the behavior of the horse in a group, analysis of the behavior of the horse alone or in interaction with humans, practical cases of study and adaptation of the diet, were on the program of these exciting days.
The transmission of scientific knowledge is at the heart of the Ethology and Equine Sciences Diploma, with one goal: to better understand the horse to optimize its well-being.
The students were therefore invited to carry out their own project, through the creation of educational support aimed at transmitting knowledge acquired during the year to the public of their choice on themes such as the essentials to know for successful outings (fundamentals, techniques and tips), or learning to read horses (signs of stress, pain and discomfort of the horse when working mounted or on foot)...
During their final exam in July, the students presented their project as well as a subject on a “surprise” theme, to our jury of specialists. The opportunity to directly test their ability to think about unexpected issues, as well as to transmit their knowledge in an educational way.
