Integrating Ethology and Equine Sciences into Horse-Rider Interaction

The training “Integrating Ethology and Equine Sciences into Horse-Rider Interaction” aims to transmission of scientific knowledge. Teachers, researchers, veterinarians, agronomists, ethologists and equestrian experts share their knowledge with you.

Prerequisites

This certified training is aimed at to qualified or certified professionals in the horse trades, health or education : riding instructor, veterinarians, animal osteopaths, farriers/shoesmiths, boarding house managers, breeders or any other proof of activity. These access prerequisites are verified by the educational management using the candidate's registration form for the training, accompanied by the CV and a cover letter.

Training content

On a course of 8 months and half, you develop your knowledge about the nature of the horse, its lifestyle, its diet, but also its learning methods and its biomechanical functioning.

You learn to build a solid argument, and to transmit reliable knowledge from scientific research:

  • To pass on knowledge and engage yourself in order to promote your structure, your activities and respond to customer requests;
  • To structure your project and your speech in an educational approach, adapted to your audience.

Pratical information

The course extends over 8 and a half months.
It represents a total of 80 hours of training, an average of 2 hours per week.

  1. Online theoretical lessons: Everything you need to know about horses - 56 hours
  2. Two days of practical work – 14 hours
  3. A cross-disciplinary project – 10 hours
  4. Oral exam at the end of training

The cost of the training is 1 euros.
