    The freedom course allows you to improve your communication on foot, on the lunge and in freedom. You communicate at a distance using a lunge or long reins.
    In freedom, without physical connection, you develop your feelings and the accuracy of your requests to improve the connection with the horse.

    Prerequisites

    • From 14 years
    • Have already completed the “Education on foot” and/or “Mounted education” course OR have Knowledge 2 of ethological riding (degrees 1 and 2 la Cense)

    Program

    You are approaching the program for degrees 5 and 6 of the La Cense Method.

    Practical

    • Obtain an attentive mutual relationship from a distance in the relaxation and relaxation of the horse.
    • Control speed and direction on a precise route in each gait on bare ground and when crossing obstacles with the lunge, then in a closed space freely.

     

    Theory

    • Social behavior of horses in the wild: lifestyle, functioning in the herd.
    • Social life of the horse in domestic living conditions and rhythms of life.

    Pratical information

    Duration : 2 days, from 9 a.m. to 17 p.m.
    The course includes theoretical lessons as well as practical time on foot and on horseback.

    If you take part in a course at La Cense with your horse, you have the choice of accommodation:

    • In box (25€/night – water and hay included)
    • In pen (10€/night – water and hay included)

     

    For the rider:

    • How to dress ? Riding clothing and shoes (boots) as well as a bomb. Dress accordingly for the weather.
    • Do I need to bring any equipment?  We will provide you with a rope halter, a 7m lead rope and a stick.
    • Where to eat ? Lunch, in the form of a picnic basket, is included in the course price. If you wish, you can bring your own food or use the snack dispenser. You can take advantage of the kitchenette facilities to reheat your dishes, store your food in the refrigerator or have a hot drink. The kitchenette and club house are accessible 24 hours a day.
    • Where to sleep ? You have the option of staying at the Barn Hotel, located in the heart of the Haras de la Cense.
      The hotel also offers dormitory accommodation for 6 people, from 380 euros including tax per night, breakfast included. Information and reservation by telephone on 01 86 38 00 00.
    • Where to shop? The La Cense boutique offers a choice of equestrian equipment adapted to the technical requirements of the La Cense Method. You will also find a varied range of equestrian books to perfect your knowledge of horses. The store is open from
      Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 17 p.m.
