    For 5 days and 4 nights, during the summer school holidays, La Cense welcomes teenagers aged 15 to 17 wishing to discover ethological horse riding. During theoretical lessons, sessions on foot and on horseback, the young people follow the program of degrees 1 to 4 of the La Cense Method. Immersed in the equestrian world, teenagers participate in horse care and life at the stud farm.
    Campfires and vigil games are also on the program for this week full of emotions and learning!

    Prerequisites

    • 15 to 17 years
    • Gallop level 4 minimum
    • Only with a stud horse

    Program

    You are tackling the program for degrees 1 to 4 of the La Cense Method.

    Technical

    • Program for degrees 1 to 4 of the Method (Knowledge 1 to 3 of ethological riding).
    • Master the fundamental exercises on foot: capture the horse's attention, have his personal space respected, desensitize the horse, send in a circle, lead the horse on bare ground or simple pitfalls: tarpaulin, narrow passage, get into a van, descents …
    • Master the fundamental exercises on horseback: control speed and direction at the three gaits, mobilize the parts of the horse's body in a relaxed manner, lead the horse over simple obstacles.

    Pratical information

    Duration : 5 days, from 9 a.m. to 17 p.m.
    The course includes theoretical lessons as well as practical time on foot and on horseback.

    If you take part in a course at La Cense with your horse, you have the choice of accommodation:

    • In box (25€/night – water and hay included)
    • In pen (10€/night – water and hay included)

    For the rider:

    • How to dress ? Riding clothing and shoes (boots) as well as a bomb. Dress accordingly for the weather.
    • Where to eat ? All meals, from Monday lunch to Friday lunch, are included. La Cense also provides you with a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, coffee machine and snack dispenser.
    • Where to sleep ? Collective accommodation in dormitory.
    • Where to shop? The La Cense boutique offers a choice of equestrian equipment adapted to the technical requirements of the La Cense Method. You will also find a varied range of equestrian books to perfect your knowledge of horses. The store is open from
      Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 17 p.m.
